Duties and Responsibilities:
- Entering, posting and reconciling accounts payable for multiple locations;
- Reconcile monthly supplier statements and prepare accounts payable cheques;
- Responsible for assisting in multiple financial activities relating to bi-weekly payroll function
across the organization; - Provide back-up support to the payroll function for multiple locations;
- Perform journal entries, variance analysis and account reconciliations;
- Data analysis and reconciliation of various GL accounts;
- Maintain organized files and records;
- Prepare ad hoc analyses as requested by the management team.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
- Completion of a business diploma or a degree with a concentration in accounting;
- Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role is required;
- Payroll certification is considered an asset;
- Confidentially, integrity and a strong attention to detail are critical for this role;
- Must have great organization skills and the ability to multitask;
- Excellent communication skills
- Competence in a computerized environment and the use of Microsoft Office applications.
