Located on Kenmount Road, The Capital is only a 10-minute walk to The Avalon Mall and the Kelsey Drive Shopping Centre. The Stavanger Drive shopping district, Galway shopping districts, and COSTCO are also just a short 10-minute drive east.

Business travellers will be happy to know we are centrally located to all major industrial parks and a short drive away from St. John’s International Airport.

Ideal for Medical Visits

Heading to the city for a medical appointment? The Capital provides everything you need to ensure your stay is comfortable, affordable, and worry-free.

We offer medical rates, efficiency units ideal for longer stays, and a complimentary hospital shuttle.

The shuttle is available Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm and visits the Health Sciences Centre and St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.

Requests for shuttle service must be made at check-in.

Please note seating is limited and the shuttle is subject to availability.

Pet Friendly

Wonderful dinner and breakfast the following morning at Jack’s dining room. Our room was spotless and bathroom and pack up all the great linens on the bed couldn’t have asked for more staff at the front desk so welcoming and familiar just like going home

Situated in an area close to shopping and eating establishments. The room was very clean and the staff were excellent. Travel to St. John’s a couple of times every year and always stay at the Capital. The price is very reasonable and their restaurant is excellent as well.

Home Away From Home

Love the Capital location, breakfast all day, great staff, pet-friendly. great prices, walking distance to shopping, movies and other great places to eat. Easy exit to the highway. We come here even on day trips to town just for the all-day breakfast.

The Capital is one of St. John’s preferred venues for conventions, meetings, and banquets.

Whether you are hosting a small breakfast meeting, training seminar, sales presentation, company banquet, or conference, our six distinctive meeting spaces can be configured to host a wide range of corporate events.

Groups ranging in size from six to two-hundred and seventy participants can be accommodated.

Our stylish meeting rooms accommodate classroom, theatre, or banquet-style set-ups. An executive boardroom is also available for smaller meetings.

The hotel is equipped with complimentary high-speed Internet, podium, mic, screens, LCD projectors, flip charts, and an audio system (with lapel microphones). Any other requirements can be accommodated through an outside vendor.

Our talented employees will happily work with you to ensure a successful event with stress-free planning.
