Tanya Pickett is a seasoned hospitality professional with more than three decades of experience in the hotel industry. She began her career in 1989 at Hotel Gander as a banquet server and quickly discovered a passion for hospitality and guest service. From there, she moved into the restaurant as a host and server, steadily expanding her knowledge of hotel operations.

Over the years, Tanya has gained hands-on experience in nearly every area of hotel operations, including bartending, front desk, laundry, housekeeping, and porter services. Her well-rounded operational background gave her a deep understanding of how each department contributes to the overall guest experience.

Tanya’s leadership journey progressed from Events Coordinator to Banquet and Events Manager, and ultimately to her current role as Hotel Manager of Quality Inn and Suites in Gander, NL. Her long-standing commitment to the industry, combined with her operational expertise and people-first approach, has made her a respected and trusted leader.

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys spending time with family and friends. She appreciates cabin life, boating, and fishing, and values the balance that time on the water brings.
