The Carriage Room

The Carriage Room offers traditional Newfoundland cuisine for your dining pleasure. Open daily for breakfast and dinner, this splendid room features original painted murals depicting older English themes. Large windows overlook our majestic property, which adds a sense of tranquillity while enjoying your meal. Traditional fare dominate our unique menus, from salt fish cakes for your breakfast, to crispy fried cod tongues with scrunchions and local partridgeberries and bakeapples incorporated in many desserts. Wine Cellar Steak House

Tucked away in the basement of our historic hotel you’ll be delightfully surprised to find our Wine Cellar Restaurant. Not hidden for long, for the aroma of char-grilled steaks and seafood has led many satisfied customers to our door. We’re a little more adventurous down here, with a rack of lamb, char-grilled Atlantic salmon, and of course, steak. After all, that’s what’s won us so much national attention from “Enroute” magazine and “Where to Eat in Canada.”
