AESTHETICIAN

Steele Hotels is looking for an Aesthetician to join its growing team at Revival, our Wellness Centre at JAG Hotel in St. John’s, NL. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, along with the ability to acquire in-depth knowledge of products and services to effectively offer wellness and beauty solutions that cater to the unique needs of our guests.

The Aesthetician is responsible for providing clients with skin and body care treatments aimed at enhancing and rejuvenating their appearance. They should have a comprehensive understanding of skin health, exceptional facial massage techniques, and the ability to deliver personalized skin treatments and tailored skincare recommendations based on individual skin conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent professional facial/body treatments in accordance with Wellness Centre protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to accordance with quality assurance/quality control.
• Educating and informing guests of their skin care needs.
• Actively promote home care programs, meeting minimum retail sales goals.
• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the Wellness Centre’s policies and procedures.
• Perform prep work and properly clean and restock the room as required.
• Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the Wellness Centre that require attention.
• Actively promote the Wellness Centre, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available of the Wellness Centre.
• Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
• Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the Wellness Centre.
• Assist in all areas of Wellness Centre operation as requested by management.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

• A current aesthetic diploma from a recognized post-secondary school is required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Aesthetician
• Have enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work without direct supervision
• Excellent communication and listening skills, as well as basic computer knowledge.
• Must be a team player.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work shifts, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Required to be on your feet 80-100% of your shift
• Ability to perform extensive walking, bending, kneeling, lifting to 25lbs, reaching, and stretching
