The Corner Brook Stream Trail
Just outside the front door at the Glynmill
there is a set of stairs which will lead you down to the Corner Brook Stream.
The development of walking trails around the Glynmill Inn Pond and the Corner Brook
stream makes a very interesting and scenic walk.
Margaret Bowater Park
Margaret Bowater Park offers a supervised natural swimming area and a safe play
area with slides and swings. The Park is one of the entry points to the Corner Brook

Historic Train Site
The Railway Society of Newfoundland was created
in 1987 when Baldwin Steam Locomotive #593, was moved from Bowater’s Park to the
Historic Train Site at Humbermouth. In its day, the Newfoundland railway carried
passengers and freight between Port aux Basques and St. John's.
Captain James Cook Monument
Captain Cook was the first explorer to chart the Bay of Islands. Starting in 1762
he surveyed and chartered the coast of Newfoundland for five years. A must see for
any sightseer - a spectacular view of Corner Brook and the Bay of Islands
from this location.
