The Ride for Sight held in Gander on June 24-26 was a great success. Over 500 riders from across the province registered for the event, making Newfoundland the largest Ride for Sight in the country this year. In total over $105,000 was raised in support of the Foundation Fighting Blindness.

This year featured a new “Welcome” event sponsored by Steele Hotels. “On The Border: A Tribute to The Eagles” performed to a tremendous crowd on Friday night at Hotel Gander. In addition a donation of $5,000 was presented by Steele Hotels to the 2016 Ride for Sight.

“Ride for Sight is proud to be partnering with Steele Hotels for the next 4 years and are overwhelmed by their generosity and support. The welcome event they hosted, on Friday night, was such a huge success. Our riders and the Gander community enjoyed every minute of it! We are grateful to Steele Hotels for embracing our participants and this event just as much as we do,” stated April Watts, National Event Manager, Ride for Sight.

Steele Hotels is a proud partner of the Ride for Sight in Gander and will continue to work with the Foundation Fighting Blindness to grow this great event in Newfoundland.
